Christine M. Gibbons joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP as an associate in July 2018. She handles the defense of general negligence claims, with over 30 years of experience. She has successfully defended the interests of numerous large insurance companies and their policyholders in actions involving premises, motor vehicle, and construction site accidents. Ms. Gibbons has worked as a litigation attorney for in-house staff counsel and outside defense counsel, handling defense matters before the Courts of all 5 boroughs of New York City as well as Nassau and Suffolk Counties. She has drafted appellate briefs and argued before the Appellate Division in the First and Second Departments. She has been a member of the New York State Bar Association for her entire legal career.
Ms. Gibbons was graduated with honors from C.W. Post/Long Island University where she was news editor of the newspaper. Throughout college, she worked as a paralegal in a general practice firm where she concentrated on personal injury cases. She earned her law degree from St. John's University School of Law. Ms. Gibbons is the Director of the Youth Board in the Village of Malverne, where she is also a prosecutor, adjudicating traffic violations in the Village. She enjoys golf, travelling and reading.
