George J. Wilson is a partner of Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP, which firm has represented leading insurance companies for over sixty (60) years. He has been a member of the firm since 1984 and has been a partner in the firm since 1993. He handles a broad range of civil defense litigation matters with a particular emphasis on medical and hospital malpractice cases, product liability cases and general liability defense matters. Mr. Wilson was born and raised on Long Island. After graduating with Honors from high school, he went on to Hofstra University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1979. He attended St. John's University Law School graduating in the Class of 1984. In 1980-84, he worked an internship with the Bronx District Attorney's Office Investigations Bureau on cases in rackets, narcotics, economic crime and arson.

He is admitted to practice in all Courts within the State of New York including the Supreme Courts of the State of New York, and its Appellate Courts, as well as the Eastern District, Southern District and Northern District of the United States Courts.
He is a member of New York State Bar Association and the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association. He has successfully argued over 20 appeals and has a particular interest in trial practice. He has devoted time on a pro bono basis to the New York State Supreme Court in Nassau County where he has acted as a mediator to resolve pending cases in litigation on the Trial Calendar. He has lectured widely on numerous medical issues to hospitals and physicians and has lectured on many insurance defense issues to various carriers within the State of New York.
He has handled several high profile cases in the course of his career including Buttafuoco v. Fischer and cases involving several sports celebrities and notable area figures. Many claim representatives, insurance agents and partners in other law firms who have been involved in litigation personally have requested that Mr. Wilson handle their defense.
