Brian M. Dunphy joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP as an associate in 2012 and became a partner in 2019. He specializes in defending claims involving catastrophic injury in medical malpractice, general liability and construction litigation. He handles all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal. Over the past two decades, he has represented both the foremost medical practitioners and leading institutions in the five boroughs, Long Island and upstate counties. Mr. Dunphy actively represents his clients through all phases of litigation and works tirelessly to prepare them for all aspects of the defense.
After graduating Chaminade High School in 1992, Mr. Dunphy received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in history from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. After working in the financial sector for a number of years, he attended and graduated from St. John's University Law School in 2002 and was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2003. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts.
He is a member of the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
He is married living in Wantagh, New York with four children and enjoys fishing and coaching baseball.
